For Toronto area folks, I hope to see you all at my CD release! We'll be celebrating in style at the Cadillac Lounge, on May 27th. Gavin Slate, a fantastic solo acoustic artist/songwriter will be opening the night, followed by yours truly with full band. Faye and I have completed the home-base part of our Cherry Pickin' Tour, and we're now on our way to pick up our accomplice, Jacquie B, in Edmonton. We had an amazing time in London, Peterborough, Montreal, Ottawa and Toronto, and now we're at our next venue -- the train. Via Rail has so far been an amazing experience. We are surrounded by lovely people who all share the same desire to see the country the old fashioned way. Taking the train across the country is a dream come true for me and I'm basking in it!

The Cherry Pickin' Schedule is now packed, and we're excited for a busy month and a half. The cameras are a rolling and the words are a flowing, so be sure to check in with us every few days for new video blogs and updates. Starting out at home in Ontario with Faye Blais, we will be playing a few shows to get things started, before we hop on the train to serenade the lovely passengers on the Westward Via Rail train. Making stops in Winninpeg and Saskatoon, this train will take us to Edmonton where the lovely Jacquie B will be joining us on backup vocals and accordion for the rest of the tour!

Our little triad of musical ladies will be hitting lots of places in Alberta and BC, before we head down to California, to get a little warmth and play a few shows, sharing our Canadiana love with our American friends. Check the shows page to see if we'll be in your town, and hopefully we can raise a glass together! The last of the details will be ironed out shortly, so stay tuned for an update!!

As the last few weeks of summer sun begin to slip away and the nights begin early, I have a lot of things going on, including printing a new edition of my EP Mayflower, and gearing up for some amazing shows!

The new EP, Mayflower, is out, but only in a limited edition (I hand-made 100!) I'm really proud of it and can't wait to share it with music lovers across the country. Come out to a show to get your hands on one!

Working with Andre Skinner from Canteen Knockout on the disc has been amazing and the talent lent by Matt Blackie on drums and vocals, Andre on bass and guitar, and Grady Kelneck on mandolin and miniature pump organ (cutest instrument ever!), is outstanding.

Edmonton is still one of my favorite cities and we'll be here for a few more days, heading to the Sasquatch Gathering for the weekend, and returning to the city to play two more shows.
